Too Late for Tears – On “Arrival” by Denis Villeneuve

The most entertaining among the Denis Villeneuve`s oeuvre, and the most non-vilonet sci-fi movie of the recent years, Arrival is a deeply emotional experience that stays with you for some time. It is not a game-changer for the genre (though it tries effortlessly) but it brings an intellectual high concept eye-candy for your pleasure. Apart from the great ensemble (Is Amy Adams the new bronze goddess?), the amazing setups lacks a strong resolution.

P.S. a tip for the director: Watch Blade Runner again!
